“One evening in the winter of 1997, while sitting in front of the fireplace drinking – savoring every sip – an old Champagne blanc de noirs purchased in France during one of my numerous wine pilgrimages, I decided to honor that wonderful grape called Pinot Noir, and that I too wanted to create important and complex bubbles, which didn't stop at the mouth but which first reached the brain, and from there, straight to the heart.

And it was precisely from that evening that I decided to dedicate a part of the house on the Vicenza hills to the cellar in order to be able to work on wines that would find their place in the collections of enthusiasts. Obviously the red vinification could not be missing which led me to search for my own interpretation, respectful of our terroir and my personality, year after year, harvest after harvest” Marco Buvoli

The Opificio del Pinot Nero is the company born to commercialize the wines conceived and developed by Marco Buvoli starting from that evening, from that bottle and from that fireplace.
