ARZENTON

The Arzenton company was founded in 1968 with the vineyard arrangement of a hilly area located in Bosco Romagno, between the heights of Spessa di Cividale del Friuli: therefore in one of the most suitable locations for viticulture in the D.O.C. of the Colli Orientali del Friuli.

The company has 14 hectares of which 10 are destined to vineyards in lands consisting of an alternation of layers of sandstone marl which represent the best soil for hilly viticulture. The easy erosion of the marly soils forced the hills to be terraced in order to avoid their "consumption". These terraced hills are called "ronchi".

The productions are extremely limited, the harvest is strictly manual and the grapes harvested in boxes are transferred to the cellar for processing in the shortest possible time in order to preserve their integrity. From this excellent base, carefully following all the processing stages up to bottling, we obtain wines, white and red, of excellent quality and strong personality.

The owner of the company, Maurizio Arzenton, after a period of study in Milan that led him to obtain a degree in philosophy, decided to take a different path in life, moving to Friuli and devoting himself to developing an entrepreneurial activity in the wine sector. By helping his grandfather and father, making use of their first experiences, choosing capable collaborators, he thus contributed to transforming a hobby into a real business reality dedicated to the production of excellent quality wines in one of the most suitable areas of Friuli.
