The history of the Coppo company is inextricably intertwined with that of Piedmontese wine, in particular with the development of Canelli, the homeland and capital of Italian sparkling wine, still today one of the most important Italian winemaking poles.

A story of tradition and courageous vision of the future, of sacrifice and innovation. A story that demonstrates the unconditional love of the Coppos for their places of origin, the vines that have always been cultivated in Piedmont and the long family tradition.

The origins of the company date back to 1892 and for over 120 years they followed the fortunes of the family, still the sole owner today. The ability, since its origins, to lead the owned vineyards and to vinify and bottle the grapes produced under its own brand make the Coppo winery one of the oldest wineries in Italy. So much so that, in 2012, Unioncamere included the company in the national register of historic companies with more than a century of uninterrupted activity in the same product sector.
