Fontezoppa is the name of an ancient source of water that flowed where today the rows of vines run after each other.

Everything in the Marches has a name, valleys, ditches, fields and alleys; sign of the passage of man and of an intense relationship with the earth. It is precisely from the land that we need to start to tell the story of the Fontezoppa Cellars.

A variety of vines delivered by expert hands and ancient techniques meets here the generosity of the soil and the goodness of the air. The result is a wine with a strong personality, produced among green hills that look now to the sea, now to the mountains.

In Civitanova Alta and Serrapetrona the right balance has been found between climatic conditions and richness of the soil, it is therefore in the space between the Adriatic Sea and the Blue Mountains that the Fontezoppa Cellars cultivate and mature their best wines.

Places can never do without history and so this land was chosen for the load of tradition, passion and wisdom that distinguishes it.

Making wine is an ancient art, which requires consolidated knowledge and techniques, requires time and care. Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet, but also Maceratino (Ribona), Incrocio Bruni, Pecorino, Passerina are the vines planted around Civitanova Alta, under the beneficial influence of the sea.
