This winery was created by Jacques Selosse in 1949, then passed into the hands of his son Anselme in 1974, and since then the latter has been running it together with his wife Corinne with about seven and a half hectares of property, all almost entirely planted with chardonnay, and they extend into the territories of the Grand Cru communes of Avize, Cramant, Oger and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. Anselme Selosse, producer of Avize, is an absolute point of reference for contemporary viticulture in the French region of Champagne, spokesman for that group of vignerons who have managed to give a new, natural and original imprint to the elaboration of what are most famous bubbles in the world, an annual production of around 57,000 bottles
