ALESSIO KOMJANC

Along the road that leads from the Preval church towards San Floriano del Collio, the first winery you meet is that of Alessio Komjanc.

The company headquarters is located on the slopes of the hill, in a panoramic position from which, towards the north, the gaze opens onto the spectacular setting of the hills and the eastern Alps (Matajur, Canin, Monte Nero).

The current business unit was founded in the seventies by Alessio, who had started agricultural activity at his father's company: in fact, his great-grandparents were already producing wine in Collio at the end of the nineteenth century. In his company, Alessio has given a mono-varietal character and was one of the first in San Floriano del Collio to understand the importance of selling his own wine in the bottle, offering the consumer a quality wine as it is produced and packaged on the Collio by a family business. The first "Alessio Komjanc" label dates back to the 1973 vintage. New impetus was given to the company in 2000, when all four sons of Alessio, Beniamin, Roberto, Patrik and Ivani definitively settled in the company, thus reaching greater specialization in each phase of the production chain: from the vineyard to the marketing of the finished product. In 2006, the renovation and expansion of the company headquarters was completed, mainly involving the cellar. The cellar today has a covered area of ​​750 square meters, which includes the grape processing portico, the winemaking and aging cellar, bottling and storage. The owned vineyards extend over 24 hectares, from which only the best grapes are vinified. Komjanc Alessio wines represent the expression of the care and commitment that we dedicate every day to the vineyards.
