DISTILLATION AND REFINING Founded by Dartal Pascal under the reign of Louis Philippe in 1838, the Dartigalongue Maison is now the oldest manufacturer of Bas Armagnacs. Based in Nogaro, in the heart of the Bas Armagnac, only wines from this area are distilled, reputed for the refinement of its Cru. The Dartigalongue House adopts the "Charantais" system, recognized by the decree of 1972 as superior quality thanks to the elimination of impurities and the consequent achievement of a more refined and elegant brandy. The essential aging for refining the distillate takes place in 400 liter oak barrels. Long years of waiting are necessary so that the Armagnac dilutes its excessive vigor and purchases in color, perfume and refinement. The long wooden living room has refined its organoleptic characteristics. The proposed vintages typify the best qualities of Bas Armagnac, in the different aging processes. The great Vintages proposed are, in addition to 1985, 1995, 1974, 1970, 1965,2000
