PRODUCTION Only two Chartreuse monks know the identity of the 130 plants that are mixed and distilled in this famous liqueur. They are also the only ones who know which plants need to macerate to produce the natural green and yellow colors. Produced annually in limited quantities, Chartreuse VEP is made using the same processes as Chartreuse Jaune. The Carthusians have taken care to select some traditional yellow liqueurs which will continue to age for many years in demi-muid. The patina of time allows it to develop aromas of great complexity and long persistence
