DISTILLATION Don Papa Gayuma is a super premium rum that pays homage to the unique rituals performed by the shamans of Mount Kanlaon and Isla del Fuego ('the Island of Fire'), aged in ex-bourbon American oak casks for three years, before going through a double cask finish: 6 months in highly toasted ex-Rioja casks followed by 3 months in rich, warm and smoky toasted oak casks, which originally contained Scotch whisky from the legendary island of Islay.
