VINIFICATION AND REFINING The Barbera grape is usually harvested in October, with the use of small baskets to keep the surface of the berries intact and keep the grapes cool. After crushing and destemming the must ferments in steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The wine is aged for 12 months in small new French oak barrels, until it is bottled 2 years after the harvest
